Another new year is here. After so many new years, excitement to celebrate new year is gone. But I realize more about the need of 'cleaning up'>>.
Cleaning up was never part of my life in Hong Kong because some like the maid or my mom would always do the job. Yet, after coming here to live by myself, the habit of cleaning finally began. However, the real start waited until I got married and had my own children.
Things accumulated over years. And i started getting sick of them and decided to practice regular clean up throughout the year.
Last year was different than before, as I had reduced the frequency of cleaning up due to my study back at school. Yet, I resume the habit when I have more free time in Jan.
Cleaning up requires a few things: 1. throwing things away 2. buying things to organize the existing stuffs 3. spending time to finish up the process. Lots of hassles involve, but without the 3 steps , my house would be a 'Big mess' and even 'shrink' to the point that I would be upset with.
MY CLEANING up taught me a truth. Life requires to be cleaned up and rearranged; otherwise it will turn out to be something that we and others cannot tolerate and finally feel disgusted at. Yet, it takes "TIME" and "INTENTIONAL move" to throw trash away, and rearrange it with certain cost. (not free at all)...
